Morse Code

I realize Morse Code (or CW) is no longer required to become an Amateur Radio Operator. However it is an important part of the history and, I believe, still needs to be part of the future of Amateur Radio.

Want to know how good some people are at CW? Go here and check out the competition between CW and SMS text messaging from The Tonight Show. Great stuff!

While I haven't started on it yet, I do plan to learn Morse Code by May 2009. How about you? Who knows, it could come in very handy AND the older hams would probably respect you more for taking the extra step to learn it.

So I've talked you into it? Great! Here's some sites you assist you:

Just Learn Morse Code
Morse Mania for Macs

As I mention on my Get a Transceiver page, the Yaesu VX-3R has a built-in CW trainer.
